Our Team
Dr. Katrin Jahn, DrMedVet, CertVA, MRCVS
Dr. Katrin is the owner and general manager of the GVC. She was
trained in Germany and then moved to the UK, where she worked in various areas of the
veterinary profession before moving to the UAE some years ago. She has a specialist
qualification in Veterinary Anaesthesia and Pain Control, a subject in which she
lectured at Liverpool University for some years.
Dr. Katrin has a special interest in all things feline and is the veterinary advisor
for Feline Friends Abu Dhabi and Al Ain Animal Friends.
Dr Katrin also has experience in equine veterinary medicine and is registered with the
UAE Equine Federation and is able to issue FEI passports and vaccinations.

Our western trained team of doctors will make sure that your pet receives the best
health care whilst in the UAE. Offering many specialities and services and with many
contacts to Europe and the US, they will make sure that your pet is in the best hands.

Qualified and trainee nurses
Our nursing team works to the very highest standards of veterinary pet care and makes sure
that your pets are comfortable and well cared for whilst staying with us. The nurses are
responsible for giving you a post op call on the day after your animal has had surgery
and will, along with the veterinarians, give you regular updates should your animal
need to stay in the hospital for any length of time.
The nursing team also runs nurses’ clinics and weight clinics, where they can give you
advice on parasite control, dental health, weight management and many other topics.

Efficient and friendly Reception Staff
Being pet owners and pet lovers, our reception staff is very sensitive to the worries
and concerns you may have regarding your pet. Whether you need to book an appointment,
order food or have questions regarding your pet’s healthcare, our receptionists can
advise you accordingly or put you in touch with one of the nurses or veterinarians.

Professional Pet Groomers
Our professional pet groomer will ensure that your pet leaves the GVC Pet Parlour looking
and smelling fantastic.
Whether you need a full shave or just a wash and brush or toe nail trim, the GVC pet groomer
will be able to meet your needs.
Dedicated Pet Transport Co-ordinators
As pet travel is such an important issue in the UAE and as the rules and regulations of pet
transport change so frequently, we have members of staff dedicated solely to the organisation
and co-ordination of these journeys to ensure that your furry friends arrive safely at their
destination.

Boarding Staff and Cleaning Staff
The GVC has dedicated members of staff who take care that our cattery guests receive plenty of love, cuddles and playtime whilst staying with us and make sure that the GVC clinic is always spotless and hygienic.
