Benjamin Van Der Merwe

Benjamin is from beautiful South Africa where his love for the animal world started young, nurtured by growing up on the family farm and being in the land of the majestic “Big 5”. The love for animals grew alongside his passion to travel, a passion that has seen Benjamin live and work overseas for the past fifteen years.

Following a couple of years working within the Healthcare sector in the UK, Benjamin relocated to Abu Dhabi in 2008 to pursue a career in the aviation industry, a career that allowed Benjamin to see the world and develop his fantastic customer service and people skills.

However, the love for animals has always been a big part in Benjamin’s life and so making a change in 2020 to start a new path in the pet-care industry was a welcome opportunity, an opportunity that now lets Benjamin apply his aptitude for customer service in an environment surrounded by our furry friends!

Obviously, his life here wouldn’t be complete without his two rescue kitties, Lilly and Po and, away from work, Benjamin loves spending time outdoors, exploring the wilderness and the cultures of different countries.
